Directions to Camp at Action Arts School
WE HAVE MOVED - now at 200 Riverside Ave. Riverside. Classrooms are just 1 mile from our old Studio. New place, new guidelines, so please read. Doorbell: we don't always hear it in our classroom. Text Jacqui instead: 203-219-6908 if really late. The keypad with code will be repaired, hopefully soon. Otherwise, we will be outside for a really easy drop off and pick up with lots of parking.
Drop-off time is 10:00 at the meadow. Look for the umbrella table by the parking lot. If it rains, then come to the arched covered walkway on the left side of the lot. You can pull up in the circle if you want. Teachers will be waiting to check you in. Pick-up is at 1:30 (same places). If I am inside, then my teachers will help you. You may see our art room anytime, but after camp. We are so busy in the mornings. Our camp is Art (with breaks for Magnet tiles, Lego, toys, games, show & tell, joke time, disco dance and more). Otherwise, FUN! Our teachers are all artists. Art lessons are fun with no pressure and very creative. This way we don’t stomp on their creativity.
*Early pickup: If you have to pick up early on a day, please email or text Jacqui and remind us at drop-off. Please don't pick up early unless really necessary, so I can warn the kids. It tends to upset the other kids who think their parents are late. Plus, as of now the church doors are locked, so we need to make special arrangements if too early. Otherwise, we are outside
*FOOD breaks: Please bring a nut-free snack and lunch, plus water or two snacks is fine. *Bring a sweater if your child gets cold.
*SHOW AND TELL time: Your campers can bring something from home, or show an item they made in camp. Your child can watch or join in.
If your child feels sick, please keep them home. We have a generous make-up policy.
NOTE: Kids must be POTTY TRAINED! We will take them to the bathroom, but we wait outside the stalls. The tables are all together in one classroom. Campers can sit with friends.
